Q: Is Selections a singles club?
A: Although we do arrange occasional supper evenings etc., which are very popular, we also appreciate that some people don't enjoy such events. With Selections, you have a much broader cross section of members to meet. Many of our members have joined singles clubs in the past and don't like the "Cattle Market" feeling or don't feel comfortable returning for fear of bumping into a "previous encounter". Some, simply find it impossible to strike-up conversations in such environments.
Q: Will Selections be sending me introductions from all over the country?
A: No! Our members are in the South East counties, only. Our advertisements are included in the Yellow Pages, Friday ad and millions of local newspapers, etc. every week. We therefore have hundreds of members, to ensure that YOU have the best possible chance of finding that right person, without having to travel all over the country.
Q: Can I use Selections just to find friends?
A: Certainly! "Selections" is the ideal way to re-start you social life. We have hundreds of members, with many more joining every month and we strongly advise Members to meet as many people as possible, before deciding to settle down. So you are very likely to make some good friends even though there may be no romantic chemistry between you.
Q: Can I also contact other Members of the same sex?
A: Yes! Many members are happy to meet people of the same sex for friendship - shopping or a drink, while looking for partners of the opposite sex . We do have a few members looking for same sex partners, just make that clear on you application and we will put you in contact with each other.
Q: I joined an agency before, but they kept sending people who'd already found partners. Why is "Selections" any different?
A: With Selections, we update and send you all of our members profiles every month and because, we have so many members, we don't have to hold onto profiles, in order to give the appearance of being bigger than we really are. Membership is for one year only, but more importantly, we remind all members every month to suspend their profile when they find themselves in a relationship, and we even provide a suspension slip & a post-paid envelope. This helps us to keep "Selections" fresh and active.
